Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling

I work with individuals and couples in an integrative way using many models of therapy including emotion-focused, strengths-based, psychodynamic, and humanistic. I provide support for relationship & interpersonal issues, women’s issues & menopause, chronic stress and illness, grief & loss, anxiety & depression, and life transitions.

my Approach

I believe that one’s mental and physical health are intrinsically linked and many factors can play a part in why an individual may experience personal challenges. My heart-centred approach to the therapeutic process provides a space where individuals feel supported in exploring their own empowerment and strengths. This approach allows individuals to come back into wholeness with themselves through deeper connection to the messages offered by our somatic experiences and emotions.

my Intention

My intention as a therapist is to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where individuals are free to explore their relationship to themselves and others, achieve their goals, and work through current challenges. My aim is to guide individuals toward overall wellbeing, increased self-awareness and self-expression, as well as relational success both in personal life and career. I aim to see individuals and couples thrive in every aspect of their life.

my experience

I have over 17 years working in the Health and Wellness Industry working one-on-one with individuals to achieve their personal goals. I have a clear understanding of the integration of mind and body as a whole as informed by my experience with alternative healing modalities, ancient yogic philosophy, mythology, philosophy, and embodied movement practices. I have been working as a counsellor for over 4 years. I have specialized training and interest in somatic-based interventions, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Integrative Attachment Therapy (IAT), and The Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

my EDUCATION

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Ikon Institute Australia and have acquired over 4 years of study in Counselling & Psychotherapy. Additionally, my studies in Health Science and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) have informed my knowledge of holistic principles in alternative healing therapies and mental health. I have completed Level 1 Gottman Couples Therapy and am currently undertaking Sue Johnson’s Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) intensive for couples as well as Level 2 Integrative Attachment Therapy (IAT).
